Five ways to protect our beloved lake

Inspect your water craft

Not just for your motor boats. If your paddle boards, canoes and kayaks have been in other lakes, make sure they are free of plant fragments. Keep invasive species from the lake!

No wake within 200 ft

It’s the law! This isn't to protect property, docks, boats, etc. It is to protect the wild flora and fauna. Think about nesting loons and preventing erosion.

Fish responsibly

Go lead-free, retrieve broken lines and lures, and don't dump bait.

Use lake-friendly products

Prevent bleach, drain cleaner, powdered detergents, paint and even sun screen from running into the lake. Use phosphate-free, biodegradable soap for your dishes and clothes.

Learn what you can do on your property

Get help preventing erosion and run-off from your property into the lake. Learn best practices, get recommendations and/or participate in an evalution.
